"My mother and I had home insurance coverage, and there was one occasion that a check-in was scheduled and no one reached out to me, and I was unable to reach a representative during the scheduled time. In addition, interactions with this office were particularly off-putting when I had some difficulty cancelling the coverage due to no longer owning the home. After some difficulty a female State Farm representative eased the process along and cancelled the policy - which I was extremely appreciative about since I couldn't cancel by calling the main customer service number. A male State Farm representative from the office called me back after the cancellation and asked me why I was cancelling. I informed him that the home was sold, and he then asked where we were moving. I simply informed him that there was a home out of the state, and he seemed to badger me in asking which state, and wouldn't let that question go or take the hint that I didn't want to continue the conversation. He indicated that their office provides policies in multiple states outside of GA, and it was clear that he was going to try to talk me into keeping the coverage. He wasn't really polite about it and wouldn't let my skirting around the question go. The reality was that the home was indeed sold, and it was due to the death of my mother. Given that the representative was pressing the question, I paused for several seconds because I was attempting to remain calm and appropriate in spite of the representative's behavior. I then provided him with a state. The representative responded that the office does not provide coverage in that state, and it then seemed like he was okay with ending the conversation. It was extremely offensive and unnecessarily pressuring to me, in general and given my particular situation. If I state that I no longer want the coverage, and I'm clear that I don't want to pursue the conversation regarding continuing coverage, then the representative needed to let it go. Again, I was trying hard to not hang up on him and to remain polite, but I was extremely irritated when the conversation ended. I actually do live in another state, and if the representative was respectful of me and my decision without pressuring me about his questions being answered to his satisfaction, I may have conversed about a quote moving forward and recommended the office to others. Given these experiences, I will never work with this office again or recommend them to anyone."
